The practice provides cardiac diagnostics, imaging, and interventional care across the Memphis area. Cardiovascular records are among the most sensitive data in medicine, including imaging studies, implant history, and treatment plans, which makes heart clinics a frequent ransomware target.
The claim is unconfirmed, and the practice has not issued a public notification. Lockbit5 is the latest iteration of the LockBit brand, which returned to activity this year after international law enforcement disrupted the original operation in 2024.
