The Gentlemen extortion crew went on a listing spree on October 9, adding a cluster of US healthcare and care-adjacent organizations to its leak site in a single burst. Among the names are North Philadelphia Health System, a behavioral health and community care provider, and All Smiles Dental of Falls Church, a Virginia dental practice.
The same batch included Potomac Animal Hospital and Alcoholics Anonymous, a sign the crew is sweeping for targets by sector rather than by size. The healthcare entries carry the crew’s standard claim that protected health information is in hand, though no gang posting is proof of data theft until files are released.
The Gentlemen have become a persistent threat to US hospitals and clinics through the year, mixing extortion claims with voice-phishing campaigns that talk staff out of multi-factor codes. That pattern has reshaped how health systems harden help desks and vendor call-ins.
A burst listing against care providers is a useful early warning. Security teams at behavioral health and dental practices, which often run lean IT, should confirm they are not relying on shared credentials for patient portals and should walk front-desk staff through call-verification steps.
The health system and the dental practice had not commented on the claims. The crew had not published sample records at the time of writing, leaving the scale of any exposure unverified.
