A ransomware group with a taste for medical records says it broke into a South Jersey nephrology practice and walked off with dialysis and transplant data.
Interlock claimed The Center for Kidney Care, a Hainesport-based provider that runs on renaldocs.com, on September 28, 2026. In its post, the group says it took confidential medical information, including medical records, lab, dialysis, and transplant data, billing and insurance files, and patient demographics.
The practice has not publicly confirmed the intrusion or the volume of records involved. Trackers pegged the claim at roughly 40 GB.
Interlock is one of the crews that treats healthcare as a core target, and its posts routinely frame exposed data as a regulatory violation, a pressure tactic aimed at speeding up payment. Kidney care is especially sensitive ground, since dialysis patients need uninterrupted treatment and their files can carry a decade of lab and transplant history.
For providers facing a similar listing, the priority is separating extortion theater from real exposure. Check backups, confirm whether clinical systems were touched, and prepare for the possibility that notifications will follow even if the group’s claims overstate what it holds.
